About the event

The tradition continues in its third year! We welcome Asian Jews and their guests in a magical backyard space for LUNAR’s Asian Jewish Passover experience. Enjoy a Kosher-for-Passover style meal plus bring a potluck dish to share with others. We’ll read from our Asian Jewish haggadah, sing traditional songs and new Asian Jewish ones, and engage in identity processing and sharing. Plus time to schmooze with friends new and old!

Please note that photography will take place at this event and let us know if you have any questions. Additionally, please dress warmly, as this event is outdoors.

This experience is part of NuRoots’ Collective Escape festival. Learn more and discover the lineup at nuroots.org/collectiveescape.

When: Saturday, April 27 at 6-10pm PT

Where: West Los Angeles - address will be emailed out 24 hours prior to the event.

Who's invited? This event is open to Asian American Jews and their +1 guests. We define Asian American Jews as folks who identify as both Jewish (whether by heritage, religion, or culture) and Asian American. This can include mixed-race folks, transracial adoptees, Asian Jews by Choice, and more. We fully welcome those in the process of converting to Judaism. In addition, all ages are welcome at this event, however children under 18 must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian at all times. (Both parents are welcome to attend!)

Pay-what-you-can: In the spirit of keeping this event accessible, we are offering tickets on a pay-what-you-can model. Donations help to cover food and supplies, venue and insurance costs, Haggadah printing expenses, and equitable compensation for our Asian Jewish organizers and staff. The true cost of attendance for this event is $72 per person. We invite you to pay what you can, to help us make this event a success!
