About the event
A century ago, the Chinese game of mah jongg was brought to the United States, and over the decades, it became a very popular way for Chinese Americans and Jewish Americans to build community. On October 17, The LUNAR Collective and the 14th St. Y will continue to build bridges...and stacks! Come for an intro to American-style mah jongg, and stay for Halloween-themed trivia (with prizes!) and a happy hour with cocktails and mocktails!
This event is open to everyone 21+ -- Asian Jews and allies alike. This is the time to make intergenerational friendships with the members of the 14th St Y!
This event is free for LUNAR folks and their plus ones to attend, with $3-5 happy hour drinks
~The event will take place in the lobby of the 14th St. Y, which is fully wheelchair accessible, including bathrooms. The closest accessible subway stations are Avenue A (L)…
