About the event
Let's start a new LUNAR Autumn Tradition! ✨
We welcome you to join us through Central Park as the sun sets and we inscribe your good wishes for the New Year on lanterns. Then, come back to Base UWS to sample various mooncakes, feast on dim sum, and sip tea and matcha with your fellow Asian Jews!
This event is open to Asian American Jews and their +1 guests. LUNAR defines ‘Asian American Jews’ as folks who identify as both Jewish (whether by heritage, religion, or culture) and Asian American - this includes mixed-race folks, transracial adoptees, Asian Jews by Choice, and more. We fully welcome those in the process of converting to Judaism or simply exploring Judaism.
Pay what you can: In the spirit of keeping this event accessible, we are offering tickets on a pay-what-you-can model. Donations help to cover food and supplies, venue and insurance costs, and equitable compensation for our organizers and staff. The true cost of attendance for this event is $20 per person. We invite you to pay what you can, to help us make this event a success!
We will be walking in the park at sunset in late September, so dress accordingly(comfy shoes and weather-dependent layers)!
Organized by NYC LUNAR! For any questions, reach out to nyc@weareasianjews.org
This event was made possible thanks to generous support from our friends at Base UWS.
